Hey guys I'm new to the ranger community and I'm looking for some help/advice if any one has the time. I just bought an 88 ranger 2.9 v6 auto and I'd like to do some engine up grades. I want to eventually do a carb'd 302 swap but don't have anything close to the means or know how to do that yet. I'm on a budget like everyone else so if anyone has feed back I would really appreciate it. Some of the things I was thinking were headers, throttle body? Cold air intake? I don't even know that my truck is compatible for all that just sort of guessing, thank u for your time ImageUploadedByTapatalk1337890816.323653.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1337890829.477418.jpg

All that you listed is marginal, really not going to do too much. If you're going with a 302 later in the future, save that money you would spend on the 2.9L for the 302 swap. That is money well spent if you want big gains in power.

Ok, thanks. I also wanted to do 7" of lift overall 5 suspension 2BL and go up to 33's will the 2.9 be able to handle that if I get it regeard or will I be loseing so much power it won't be worth it?
