Hi Ford Ranger gang

I got an 1988 Ford Ranger with a coolant reservoir tank with window washer reservoir together. I noticed it leaking up under between where the two tankes mate together. I got an aftermarket one it has a vint tube on top. Does the 88 Ranger have a vented tank? or sealed?

Is the aftermarket tank any bigger?

If not, the ones from later Rangers are, as are the ones from F-150s...all you need to do to make the newer ones work (other than mounting them) is to cut the wires to the pump and splice in the newer connector (that is actually an improvement)...

I am assuming that you acquire the tank from a junkyard so you can cut the connector wire from the original truck and give yourself enough wire to be able to mount it as needed. I did a writeup on this a few years ago...but it seems others have already figured it out and upgraded without my help...:)
