1988 Ranger with the FM146 5 speed.
Will pull the trans tomorrow to replace it.

How does the clutch line disconnect from the slave cylinder?

I probably need special tools.

Any advice?

Thanks

Get a flat head screw driver and the quick disconnect piece, that is connected to the slave cylinder should have a white colored plastic piece that has to be pushed inward for the quick connnect to release. Pull on the quick connect with alittle pressure, use the flat head screw driver to push in the plastic piece all the way around, push it toward the transmission, its aggravating but when you get that plastic white piece pushed down in there far enough, it will release the quick connect. Keep trying till you get it, done this a bunch of times.

how do you get it o go back in? im having trouble with that.
