A buddy of mine gave me a nice 88 ranger that I keep on my tree farm in West Virginia. It never goes on the road. Gets run about once amonth and loggs a couple of hundred miles a year. All in low range on old logging trails.
I LOVE IT.

The owners manual is long gone. The OD reads 45,000 and I beleive it. Doesn't leak, smoke or loose any fluids.

What was the original grade of oil used for this tryck?
Would you recomend another grade of oil.
Given the low miles driven each year how often would you change the oil?
Any other tips to keep this nice little truck running another 20 years?

Thanks
Jon

it takes 10w-30. The manual says change the oil every 3,000 miles or every 3 months (which ever comes first):icon_thumby:
