how about F-150 coils? I just read about them in our amazing Tech Library!,
It dont seem too hard, the guy said he gain 3.75 inches of lift from it with no spacer, so i could do that with a spacer and get 5-5.5" of lift which is exactly what im looking for, then probably a 4" Spacer in the rear,
I like what im saying here, i think i could make a mean ranger out of it
thanks, and any input is greatly appreciated

Yeah, you could do that, but, it would undriveable without some axle beam drop brackets. With 5" of lift, your tires would be sideways!!

If your considering that, just get a real lift kit man, Coils, Brackets, Shocks etc.

I think I paid 700 for my superlift, came with coils, brackets, rear blocks, shocks all around, drop pitman arm. Pretty basic.

But, you can get a Tough Country 4" lift for like 450$, the basic of basic lifts

A good Skyjacker kit will run you like 1000 or more with extended radius arms, brake lines, perhaps a new driveshaft maybe(depends on what you have currently)

How much you looking to spend? You could do a a body lift and then a 2' spacer lift for like 4-5 inches and 33"s (cheap route)

2' spacer lift

2 foot lift? awesome!! lol:icon_rofl:
well i already got a 3" Performance Accessories on it, i put it on with my brother, as it is his now, (not for long:yahoo:!)...
But i was looking for like a 3-4" suspension lift, but i dont want to have to buy new parts for it, wat do ya think the biggest lift i can make is with no new parts? thanks

when i say "no new parts" i mean like shocks, radius arm, (well i could make them with pop), amd driveshaft and what-not
thanks for all the help you gave me

edit; click the link in the bottom of my sig

The most lift you're gonna be able to get without buying a kit is maybe an inch or two with the coil spacers. Shackles on the rear might add a little too.

If you lift more than that you're gonna want to get new shocks anyway as the old ones probably will be too short. With most lift kits you can use your stock radius arms too. Don't worry about your driveshafts.

So when's the new truck officially yours?

hopefully Tuesday, if all goes well, however i will be going up where the truck is now (my cabin) this weekend, so ill take a look at it then and see what the Dealio is.
I cant wait to get her!

Sweet. Good luck.

So off-topic...do a lot of you Canadians have cabins? I know a couple people from Ontario that do...seems like everyone I talk to from up your way has got one. I'm a little jealous.

yup, almost everybody, if not everybody i know got one

:icon_confused:

All trucks have shocks, look to the rear of the spring, probably attached to the Radius arm, those two white and yellow things that say Pro-Comp are shocks. You remove it so that the axle can fall down enough to get the spring out.

BlackBII,
not to jack this thread, but cud you send or post a more closeup pic of that front shock mount, PLZ?
That looks like exactly what I was plannin to do, and I'd like to see how you did it.
Did you just move the brake lines down?
Have you had any pinching or rubbing probs?

Thanks,
