88 Fuel tank fit in a 94?

I have a hole in my 94 extended cab tank and can't find a replacement tank, I can find 88 ranger metal tanks. So my question is will an 88 tank fit in a 94??

I didn't know where to put this, and can't find info on it.

Looked up the tank a LMC and my guess is no it will not fit. Junk yard would be my go to. Million wrecked rangers out there, a good yard can look it up and tell you what fits what.
