Does anyone know if the door glass is the same between an 88 and 89 ranger? with out vent windows?

Yes, doors are the same, so is the glass, assuming same side

What does ford know...

there are offsets in the panel styles and how the reg hooks up power to manual...had to open the holes a little and used custom fasteners.

so the glass will fit the only problem is how it mounts to the window regulator? i have manual crank windows. do you have any pics of what you modified?

no. i dont think so. i might be able to pop the card off and see if its pictureable....but i suk at pictures.

its self explanatory if your changing hardware.

no....not a two minute deal......have to pull the armrest and crank and handle insert...i gawked down from the top with a light and i cant see much.

i plan on new regulators track and seals this year....so that would be when i would make pics....unless i blow another window out first....

but i have 92 windows in 85 doors on my 88 ranger with mangled cab.

Have brick, will travel!

i destroy windows. its why i have tube doors.

I put the vent/wing windows from a 85 bronco ii in my 89 ranger, which fit like a glove, btw. All I had to do was drill out a hole to secure it, but lo and behold, there was a dimple in the metal exactly where the hole needed to be. All I had to do was cut away a bit of the door skin to accommodate the wings. When I got the new glass for the roll up, it fit in perfectly. The holes lined up with my original manual crank.

All that to say, I agree with RonD!
