i really want to build a cheap lift or just make a cheap trail rig truck was only 200 bucks so i dont care! Im new to the ranger 4x4 world i have a slammed dakota and all i did was put 3" drop coils and 5"inch block lol so i dunno what to do?!
Have you though about just slapping a set of leveling coils (or coil spacers) and extended rear shackles on it? This would be by far the cheapest/simplest option.
To effectively use the Jeep coils will mean several other mods will be needed on the suspension (such as adding some lift and extended radius arms among other things). The stock suspension setup simply won't allow enough movement for those coils to work well.
What kind of wheeling are you planning on? Mud? Fire roads/powerline roads? Rockcrawling?
What is your budget? Really need some more info here.
lol sry just simple stuff its mainly used as a winter d/d but like to play on roads and some trails dont really matter price would just like to stay cheap or free i allready have the jeep coils.
Well I guess you could try them, but I don't think you'll like the results without the other things that are necessary to run them (that is if they even work at all, they might be too short if they're not lift coils).
I think a simple spacer lift would be a much better way to go in your case. A bunch of 1-3/8" I.D. washers plus a pair of good quality extended rear shackles (such as the BellTech 6400s) shouldn't cost more than about $70 or so total (plus anything needed to redo the frontend alignment afterward).
