88 bronco ii 2.9 auto trans, will cranK up fine after has been sitting all night. If. You let It idle it seems to flood the engine with fuel until it dies. Then it is very hard to start back up lots of cranking the engine over and very lightly patting the gas unit it eventually seems to fire and crank. Then you can again feather the gas and keep it running but if you give it any more throttle than maybe 1/8 it will stall and die. I have replaced both pumps bypassed the plastic fuel housing new filter. Cleaned iac, fuel pressure regulator (checked fuel pressure) new plugs checked wires cap and rotor button, new Map sensor, tfi module on distributor , new coil, cleaned throttle body and may be missing some I also tried unplugging the o2 sensor I read it would tell me if need to be changed but am at a loss and this is my dd and only ride lol.

You didn't say if you replaced the FPR--which would be my first guess on those symptoms. Pull the vacuum line on the FPR and see if it smells like raw gas. If it does, the diaphragm on the FPR is bad and it is flooding the engine with fuel.

+1 ^^^

Check FPR vacuum hose for fuel.

Also all fuel injection computers have a Clear Flooded Engine Routine
Key on engine off
Press gas pedal to the floor and hold it down all the way, this will tell computer to shut off fuel injectors but leave spark on(Clear Flooded Engine Mode)
Crank engine

It shouldn't start, it shouldn't even fire, no fuel is coming into intake
If it fires even on 1 cylinder then fuel is coming in.
Could be FPR vacuum hose or could be leaking injector.

As soon as you let up on gas pedal computer will start injectors, even while still cranking.

I have replaced fpr (fuel pressure regulator already no change could it be leaking injectors since its flooding itself while running ? I will try the test you told me about
