88 bii with a 302 tranny problem maybe?

i have an 88 bii with a 302 swapped in it from i think a mustang, i was told it has a t5 tranny under it and other than that its stock or so i was told.

anyway last week i was coming home from the store with some cement bags loaded in the back couldnt have been more than 400lbs and im not a big guy so i know weight isn't an issue. i heard sort of a loud grinding noise and then a clunk and then BANG and no tranny response. i had to call my dad to come out and get me with his cummins.

so far i havent had the chance to look at it between moving in and looking for a new job i just moved back in with my dad in ny but i'm still bouncing between here and my moms cause half my stuffs still there lol hopefully i can find my own place soon and get out of both places but i need the bii to do that.

any ideas of where i should look first? im taking tomorrow off from job searchin to look it over.

I would take a guess at it bein the input shaft. You know the one that connects the engine to turn the crap inside the tranny. Hahaha. But I had a very similar situation that ended bein the shaft busted to shit. Just sayin. Hope ya figure out your problem.

a friend of mine had a t5 laying around, it just so happens that it matches mine. problem solved.

you should have seen how my grand prix was squatting with it set in the trunk lol
