Well I bought a brand new locker and went to replace my old one bevause it wasn't disengaging. Turns out I just broke my center pin so I bought a titanium one for 20 bucks qnd now have a brand new Dana 30 Aussie locker for sale

Also doing ball joints tomorrow. Check out my gear oil rig ahah

This weekend I fixed my drivers window, did all ball joints, mounted tires, and changed all my belts. Thing drives like shit on the road. Anyone know simple things to make it drive better? Crawls around awesome but I don't have a truck or trailer to haul it so I'd like to drive it sometimes. The driver tire is about 5 ft off level ground. Cant really tell in the pics

what's it do on the road?
check all bushings. all steering components. try different rims/tires (just borrow some, see how it drives). maybe look into sway bars or adding a track bar (some leaf people use them to, i think jeep YJ's have them from factory and they are leafs)

What is the advantage of the titanium cross pin is it just toughness or does being light play into it.Now that you have it together how does the spartan work?

Cross pin is for strength. I ended up putting the aussie in. Spartan was super loud but they both lock up great. I think a lot with it driving like shit is I made my own drivelines and they aren't balanced. I'm gonna have some made. Just sucks spending 400 dollars just on drivelines

I'm going to buy one for a diff i'm putting together as soon as I recover from from helping my daughters.I was wondering which one was better.It seems like a hard steel pin would work best but i'm sure they got it figured out.

When you change your rig into a hard core trail machine drivability will become an issue most of the time.Hopefully the drive lines will help.
