88 b2 crawler build

its looking good! could probably lower the ride height if you did the shackles in the front though. dont let the money stop you from building it how you want, some times it takes time to save for the right tool or the job. i am looking at doing a similar swap but with a 44/9" with leaves.

I'm not really here to argue about money or anything. It took me a month to get all my sas parts and I was excited when every part that came in the mail. It was 900 or so all together and also work a minimum wage job and live on my own and pay my own bills. So we are on the same page for sure.thanks bannerman that's what I like to hear. I'll have more pics up in a few days.

don't "skimp" out b/c you don't think you can get the money together. if there is something you want... save for it and make it happen.

That's exactly what I do. Let's start talking about trucks now.. Idk why you want to argue so much.

Lol don't mind Ben. He takes his time at everything. :thefinger:

wasn't trying to argue.. just tired of hearing the i'm a teen.. or i'm full time college student thing. :annoyed:

so...
what's next?
:D how long have you had it?
give us a break down on the stuff you ordered for your sas.

Had it like 3 months now. Sas and rear axle swap took about 13 total hours in 2 days with the help of a buddy. Everything I ordered other then my drop pitman ARM was the trail gear hanger for Toyota. Everything else came from Amazon or eBay. I got some good deals on stuff like "universal shock hoops" which are almost identical to trail gear but half the price. And my spring perches were an aeesome deal too. Also a 2 each block with u bolts for only 15 bucks. It all added up but cheaper then nosy places. What do people use for flexy rear springs does anyone know?

ranger guys use chevy 63" leafs...
us bronco guys have to just work w/ what we have lol.
best option is to do a shackle flip (if you can) and just play around w/ different leaf combos till you find the ride height and flex combo you want.

i've heard of people using the trail gear yota leafs. don't know if its the 3" 4" or 5" leafs..

they are ugly but they work. I have two friends with sased yotas, one on the TG springs one on 63's. They 63's out perform the crap out of the TG springs. I would just mod the body mount so that you can make 63's work on your bronco.

I would have to extend that back of my frame or the.center pin in the leaf pack would be way to far forward

no, just mod the body mount... the body mount is where the front spring hanger needs to be. takes work, but is possible. i'd LOVE to have 63's on my b2. for the ride quality and flex...

Hmm didn't know that I figured it would be way off since they work on long beds. And the b2s are much shorter

should be doing my shock hoops tomorrow and getting 36 tsls next week for a couple hundred bucks. gonna save and pay cash for brand new iroks. ill be sure to post pics and updates on every little thing

im guessing you have ran some good size tires in the past on the d30 and was wondering how well they hold up to big tires and what size the tires were.
