Ok well i feel really dumb... Im not much of a v8 guy but my rotary engine blew in my rx7 and i figured id pick up an efi to throw in it. Well i picked one up and it turns out it wasnt the Mustang GT HO engine... It turned out to be an 88 ford Thunderbird efi. I did some research and found out those were 150hp motors and not the 225hp motor. Well thats just pointless.. i might as well throw a stupid rotary engine back in..

If i changed the head, cam, intake and used a gt ecu will that get me that hp back? or am i effed and need to just sell it and buy the real deal?

Yep, cam, intake and heads will get you back up. If you have an A9L or A9M ecu, your set...

Yeah, that's the one...I knew it didn't sound right...:D

How much will it get me back up? 230hp? isnt the bottom end weaker then an ho ?

The short blocks are the same except for pistons, the 87-93 mustang Ho received forged pistons, all other blocks got cast...

93-95 Mustangs are supposed to be hypereutectic pistons. However, a friend had a 92 with them.

I guess RX7s with a 5.0 are okay...
