Hi (new) friends,
Last week my 88 2wd broke down on the way to work. Lost engine power suddenly, cranked but wouldn't start. Kept trying intermittently for the hour I waited for a tow. Had it towed to a shop and they replaced ICM and coil. Great, started fine and drove home.

The next day I was stranded again. >:-( This time it started after 5-10min, drove for 1mi, stalled, repeat. Limped home that way and now getting to look at it. Radiator has a small leak, so heats up quicker than expected but dash thermometer gets to ~halfway, no higher. On my list to look at: inertia switch, fuel pressure regulator, distributor pickup coil, coolant temp sensor.

Any other ideas?
Thanks in advance

I had a bad brand new ICM right out of the box. I would keep a spare on hand to use as a tester one. Relocating the ICM is also an excellent idea. Hows the fuel pressure ? Distributor pick up coil is a possibility, although they seem more reliable than the ICM.
