Definitely block off the EGR port on the upper intake, and remove and plug the EGR tube port on the exhaust manifold while the engine is out. I wish that exhaust manifold port was more accessible with the engine installed. I think mine leaks, which I believe draws air into the exhaust (verturi effect) and causes the O2 sensor to think the engine is running lean - making it run rich all the time.

I have plugged the manifold already. Actually the Dorman one came with a plug in it from Rock Auto. Thanks guys!!!
