I got the pads I needed thanks to the guys here for the right advice given. I changed them today and got quit a shock when I took the wheel off. The guy I got it from told me he didn't do anything but drive it so I figured it need new pads since he had it for several years. Well he certainly did do something! He got the wrong pads! He got the ones for the common caliper and mine has the "oddball" caliper, not only did he get the wrong ones he put them on anyway!!! The outside pads were way to long for the caliper and they were dropping down and wore a hefty grove on the rotor and all that was keeping them from flying off was that little rivet that holds the clip on,and it was almost gone and the spring clips that hold the pads on was long gone. I have bad hearing so I didnt hear it grinding ,the only thing I heard was a slight "thump" sometimes when I would hit the brakes which was the pads sliding forward. I thank the Lord for putting it in my mind to change the pads or some really bad things would have happened really soon. Please, please if you don't know what your doing on brakes ask someone for help if you can't afford to have it done. Stopping is more important than starting when it comes to cars and trucks. If it won't go it might make you mad but not stopping can kill you or someone else!
