well... I changed my timing belt after it broke so after I changed it I thought I had aligned correctly well I didn't get everything aligned correctly as I thought.
It idles nice and smooth but as soon as you step on the gas it feels like the brakes are dragging I'm thinking that I set the valves wrong before it had some balls but after changing the timing belt they've been ripped off :bawling:
so I get to tear into it again
anybody have any idea what the left notch on the cam gear pointer is?
the dot on the cam gear was in between the left and center pointer

So any ideas?

first of all. set the crankshaft at TDC, pull the camshaft inspection plug from the timing cover and see if the mark lines up, if not then turn the crank shaft 1 more complete turn back to TDC and recheck. if it DOES line up then you need to adjust the distributor timing.

to do this you need a timing light and you need to remove the SPOUT connector.

ok I fixed the timing BUT I can't find the spout connection (also a little dark right now) is it supposed to be close to the dizzy? To many darned wires :icon_twisted:

yes it will be within a few inches of the tfi...its a yellow wire.. some pull out and there are some that are a one wire plug you pull apart
