So the stock tach doesn't work, stuck at around 3k RPM. If you give it gas though it starts to read, but once you let off, it stays where it peaked. So what gives the signal VSS? or what do I need to replace? Also the odometer doesn't work, though the trip odometer does. Are the odometer/tach issues related? Thanks in advance!

not sure what's going on

with ur tack.....is it a new thing that's happening?,,,,

the speedo is entirely a manual cable....the neat part about the 1st gen speedo's...fyi when u take it apart...be careful to get the little wheels to read what they should....very simple..

odometer/tack ..not related...the vss is driven off the speedo drive gear...
