Pickin this monster up Friday 2.9 5 spd 4x4 needs a starter stole it for 400$ plans are to sas it, sliders, and 35s it's gonna be hunted out of and taken to the river a lot

shoot me tips/tricks and info my dad owns his own shop and we do a lot of fabrication but never had our own so the work begins Friday!!

Yeah I was thinkin about that I put a m50d In my 89 ranger I ain't a fan of the 2.9 it's either a 2.3 or a 4.0 I know a guy with a 2.3 turbo coupe motor I could snag pretty cheap but that would be in the long run I got my eyes focused on that sas now it's gettin yota axles or jeep kinda undecided...this is my 89 4x4

Got it fixed I put a new fuel cylanoid on it now I'm waitin for it to warm up so I can put a new freeze plug in it

Broke the front end already I'm ready for a SAS jeep or Toyota?!! And what leaf springs stock jeep and yota , 63 Chevys,f-150's or what? Gonna run a spring over set up till I collect all the parts for a 4-link

Why J**p or Toyota? Why not keep it in the (Ford) family and run old full-size axles?

run the jeep stuff till you find a better axle. can you get decent waggy 44 axles?



maybe get a doubler kit so it wont matter if you run a passenger drop....chevy 10 bolts and dodge axles are all over the place where i usually go.

Don't want full size lol and yeah I'm gettin a jeep axle this weekend and what's a doubler kit

Doubler kit combines 2 transfer cases for double low.

Why not full width axles? They are plentiful and cheap to build. As far as jeep axles go,get d44 if you do,a d30 will just limit you
