Well I got this ranger and the starter bolts are stripped so upon looking the plate between the engine and tranny is bent and thus causing the starter to not be straight. Soi i went to ford today and i can no longer get the plate. Does anyone know where i could find this plate?

Might get lucky with the scrap yards. Ours saves them to resell (how I got mine after the last owner 'lost' it and reassembled the transmission back to the engine)

If the only part that is bent, is where the starter mounts? It's just a tin/steel plate and not to thick. I'd re-do the threads into the bell housing--line up the starter and let both bolts pull the starter in. That will force the plate back into position. (if the rest of your bell housing bolts to the engine are good and tight? Bending that part should not cause to much problems)
