This is a 87 Ranger XLT 4x4, with the 2.9. The truck runs great aside from one small issue. So if I am driving it and come to a stop quickly, the engine seems to sputter, meaning it drops idle and then regains it.When this happens is seems to lurch forward. This mostly seems to happen if I have to make a quick stop. If I have time to slow down it seems to react normally.
Items I have replaced in the last year are. It has a newly rebuilt A4LD Transmission, new exhaust ,with new exhaust manifolds, New IAC, New TPS, New plugs. New MAP Sensor.
Wondering if this is a timing issue. Any help or suggestions are appreciated as aside from the mentioned issue the truck runs great.
