Im tryin to find a custom instrument cluster that looks good in an 87 ranger. is there any custom ones that i can buy that are plug and play?? or, if i could, how do you replace the lights behind the instrument cluster?? im tryin to get them to match my red LEDs beneath my dash. Any help or directions are GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks!!

If you want a custom instrument panel you will have to fab it. There isn't really anything I have seen available.

You can change the lights by changing the bulb color and removing the color cap that is over the original if you don't like blue or green.

mark 7 and 4 eye fox stang clusters look pretty good to me

well, i need a new instrument cluster anyways. its completely quit. the needle on the speedo flips out, the gauges dont work, and the bulbs no longer work. ideas?

I have a couple of different styles.
One with tach
One without tach.

25$ +shipping as is.

But, have you tried to shoot this before tearing it up?
Bad grounds, blown fuses, blown bulbs, low battery, loose/corroded connections all equal strange things happening with a Ranger and electricity.
Your speedo should be mechanical, so that would lead to a cable,/gear drive issue.

Here is an example;

I recently installed a winch, easy enough.
Later I started to have a problem with the turn fuse blowing.
I checked the wiring for one end to the other, no frays loose connections, and what I did find I fixed, minor stuff, not enough to blow fuses.
It kept happening.

I went back to what I had been doing before, the winch install. Sounds far from turns right? Well, not so. The hot wire to the winch was not tight. Tight enough for it to work, but loose enough to intermittently drop connection. The weak point is the turn fuse at 15amp.

Tighten the connection, trouble free since.

I only relate this so that folks can understand some of the strange things that happen and can be difficult to diagnose, but may be related to something simple, as usual.

If you are interested in a cluster, PM me.

Good Luck
