87 ranger 4x4 switches

any one know how to remove the panel on the celling that has the 4x4 switches in it .

Ive tried to pry it of pull it push it take out the lights everything but just ripping the darn thing off. I need to test the switches. I might not be putting enough force into it dont want to break anything.

Dammit I made a post answering this question...

Insert a screwdriver in the slot at the ends of the map light lenses
and press the release tabs.

The lenses will rotate down and detach.

Inside there are two phillips screws Remove them.

Now place one hand at the back of the Overhead consile and then strike it with your other hand pushing FORWARD (towards the windshield) and it will slide off the spring clip that holds it to the windshield molding at the front.

It takes less time to do it than it too me to type this message ONCE
And I'm ticked off that this is the second time I'v needed to type it
