87 low budget sas

hey im wondering what everybody runs theyre tire pressures at?

i my tires mounted up last night and i pumped them up to 20psi and they feel rock hard like theyre way over inflated...?

also ordered everything to install the rear axle cept for rear brake lines.
should i just buy a make your own brake line kit? cause i cant find the hard brake line that runs across the axle anywhere.

You generally have to make the brake lines that run along the axle. I cant find any ready made hardlines for anything, they are sold by the foot and you do the rest.

As for the tires, I would run them at what the pressure says on the tires.

ive been thinkin bout getting one of these for the rear brake lines

i called my only buddy with tires close to mine (36s or 38s i think) and he said he runs his at 15 usually but has had them from 12 to 17. i didnt know if this was normal. so i thought id ask on here. :dunno:

got further than i expected haha my buddies had tow straps so they talked me into it. haha

i like where this is headed!

for on road tire pressure, forget about pressure. call or email the tire manufacturer and ask what the recommended static loaded radius is for whatever tire you have, then grab a ruler and air up. as far as the trail goes, depends on what you're doing and what equipment you have. I'll be climbing rocks with 53" michelins and beadlock inserts at 0 psi. on the road I'll air up to 23.9"

got all my axle stuff in the mail. finaly back with the ranger. goin to see family for the weekend serious progress will resume mon. hopefuly driving by tuesday and hopefully testing 2wd tues night. *knocks on wood*

Now to get her to be 4wd and take her offroad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The noise violation in my area starts at 10pm.

yea the neighbors only call the cops if theres a party and ppl are getting high in the yard. other than that they dont really care.

i usually keep the noise down after around 8 cause i cant really see what im doin and theres some cool elderly people that live behind the camera man. but i was like its new years....screw it.

Looks bad ass!

Couple things though....

That nasty rear brake line.... Please replace that. lol

The two that actually concern me both deal with the steering. You should really consider adding another tab on top of the steering, to help the bolts out.

Here is an example:

Second thing with the steering, that track rod is in a prime spot for a nice stump or rock to dent it. (ask me how i know....) I am going to try and used 4130 Chromolly when i redo it, hopefully it will be stronger....
