86 trans case to 93 2wd transmission

being the frugal person that i am. i am sitting on some 86 ranger parts. front and rear axels and transfer case and trans. i have a 2wd 93 ranger i think may be the next offroad project. i was wondering if any one knew if the 86 transfercase would fit on to the 93 transmission. its a 5 speed. kinda weird i know but i think the newer transmisson is a better unit than the old one.

Although the '93 tranny is is way better than ANY tranny offered in an '86 rbv.......the transfercase input shaft will not mate with a 2wd transmission output shaft.
