Will 86 seats bolt directly up to a 96 ranger? They are both Reg cabs but the ones from the 86 were refabed

Bench or buckets? Ima guess (and it's only a guess) that they won't be a perfect match, but with proper motivation and persuasion you could make it work. Do some measuring. See how close you are and see if maybe the 86 seats will attach to the 96 frame rails.

They are buckets seats 60/40 design

You can probably get the seats to fasten to your later seat rails. As for the rails themselves, cabs after '93 had a floor 'hump' spot welded in crosswise towards the front of the seats. I mounted some later (power) seats in my '92 by chiseling out the hump from a '94 and welding it into my '92 cab floor, but probably a lot easier just to transfer the seat rails!
