Has anyone seen one of these up close, or know anything about them? I'm assuming that it's a dealer conversion that was sent to a custom auto shop before being sold on the lot. This is the second one I've seen, but still know very little about them. Tho I do know they have a full width bench seat in the back, which is a nice bonus to the added head and leg room. What was the name of the company that did this conversion? What did the wheelbase come out to after modifications? Were there any other modifications done to this unit besides the custom cab and of course the stretched frame? (such as difference in drivetrain and suspension) Any info and additional photos would be appreciated.

Years ago (mid 90s) I saw a Toyota with a similar cab extension. I believe it was fiberglass. No idea who manufactured it.

I would guess what they did was a standard cab with a short bed on the long-bed frame. no special framing done here, imo...

another guess is that this is a now-defunct division of Ford or some similarly defunct company. look around behind the glovebox or under the back bench for a plate or sticker from the conversion

That's longer than a LWB Ranger there Phoenix.

I just noticed it's dual-tank too... At least it looks like it...

Can you post more photos?

Sorry for the delay. Internet at my place has been horrible lately, making it difficult to upload photos. Here is the one and only other pic of one of these Rangers that I have.

It looks like they used a 6" bed AND the extra long cab. That's probably in F150 length territory..

Back in the late 70's in Arizona I looked at a Toyota with the same type of cab and dual wheels. You had to buy a stock truck and they sent it off to a company somewhere and it was converted to an extended cab and they put duals on the back. The frame on the one they had to show had been cut and steel frame extension had been added. The extended cab was made out of fiberglass. I can't remember where they sent them as I can barely remember things I saw a year or two ago anymore.

If I had to guess, I'd say it was likely modified by the same company that did the Sherrod and Centurian conversions.
