check the timing, and make sure the firing order is correct

You Fuel Injected? If so, sounds as if though the FI are not energizing thus no fuel going into the cylinders. What was truck doing before you worked on it? Maybe knocked a wire connector loose. Look along the intake Manifold and trace the FI wires back to where the connector is and then go from there. Does it at least try to start on its own? You defiantely sound as if though there is a fuel delivery problem.

no help

i did all that already and it is all conected it will some times run for 2-5 min and then it will bog down and then the rpm will go back to normal for 5 to 10 sec then it will die and not run agian but if it sits it will start up about 10 min later ...... thanx for the help anything help

I know you said you had the module checked, but the ICM module on the back of the distributor can "check out fine" and still be bad. That's what happened to me... My truck would start up and drive, and then die while I was driving, if I turned the key off and turned it back on it would start working again... Then sometimes it would die and not start. The problem first started manifesting itself on hot days.

If the ICM does not work or works intermittently it can cause your fuel pump not to run, and cause you not to have spark... all of that wiring runs through it.

i agree,it does sound like the icm.

Begin with the basic..... if it's start on starting fluid, you have fire. Your problem it's with fuel delivery.begin by plugging a pressure tester to your fuel rail and check if you have fuel pressure(if you don't have a gage unplug the pressure line at the fuel rail put the hose on an empty bottle, and tell a friend to crank the engine, you are supposed to have a good pressure and like minimum 1/2 Liter in about 30 sec). Another test you can do it's unplug an injector an put a LED test light between the 2 wire. if it's blinking when starting it's ok. begin with this an update your result.....

That light you are talking about is called a noid light, very cheap at Harbor Freight. You have an electric fuel pump, if you do not have the testers to test the fuel delivery, try undoing the snorkel to the Throttle body, then as soon as it starts to bog down spray a little Starting fluid into the intake, if it idles back up, you have a weak pump possibly, maybe a bad sock, dirty fuel filter, maybe even water in the fuel. Does your CEL come on? Have you tried to pull codes? It is possible that something electrical is bad, but there would have been warning signs, feels like a miss, stuttering, lack of power, was any of these signs evident before the tune up? When it does run, does it seem to run strong? Run a few tests and take it from there, post your results.

I understand you replaced the TFI and it didn't fix the problem. Sorry it didn't work, it sounded like the most likely... Mhughes brings up a good point, if the vehicle starts intermittently it could be severely mistimed... That same ranger I told you about earlier would run intermittently... Someone had given it a tune-up and loosened the distributor bolt that adjusts timing. It's your next best bet. Let us know how it goes.
