I have a 1986 ranger, with the weatherstripping that connects to the top of the door, where the window rubber strip goes, to protect the rain and elements from rolling down the inside and destroying the speakers. I keep having to replace both speakers because of water damage. I have seen Baffles that encompass the speaker to protect, but have not seen them in years.

I called Autozone and pep boys, but they don't have anything. I'm afraid that FORD would charge an arm and a leg if they had such a thing anyway. Does anyone know where I could find such weatherstripping? I may have to glue it down.

Thank you for any help!

LMC truck has them i believe.

Its nearly impossible to keep water from running down inside the doors, even with new rubber or on a new truck. You can slow it down but can't really stop it. Easier to put a shield around the speaker to divert the water around it. I haven't checked around, but someplace like crutchfield might have something to put behind the speaker to let water go by without getting it wet. I've seen these installed in certain cars, but damn if I can remember which ones.
