I found this bronco 2 for sale and was going to buy it but do you think it is worth it. It is a 1986 Bronco II 4x4 w/snorkel. It has 144k miles with a recent tune up. It also has 32" inch BFGs a CD player and stuff. he says that it has a bad fuel pump. 700$ should i buy it or not? i will probably end up buying it anyway. i am thinking of puting some of the stuff onto my truck or parting it out and keeping stuff i need or want. http://anchorage.craigslist.org/car/446700332.html

Thats one of our guys on Alaska4x4network. The site I told ya about in the regional forum. Post up on there and you will get the lowdown on it. I sold the pump out of my BII donor so no freebie there. If you get it I can do the pump for you at my shop for good beer so you can drive it back to Homer. I will try and get the guys info and pm ya. Mike

IF it's not significantly rusted, the oil looks like oil, and you can diagnose an electrical circuit, that's OK. But ONLY if it runs. I won't pay more than $500 for a vehicle that I can't drive. You can't check the driveline (especially auto transmission shifting) without that.

They are asking $700, you can try to talk them down to a more reasonable level. The fact that it doesn't run should be a fairly powerful bargaining tool.

$700? $500 at most, I paid $650 for my rig and it's way nicer than that thing and it ran too!
