I had 2 86 bronco II's one was a donor for the other. Both with the 2.9 liter motors one was an automatic the other a manual. The one with the automaic tranny leaked oil and tranny fluid like crazy so i pulled the motor and tranny out of the other and dropped them in to the one that had the automatic. But before dropping the motor in i rebuilt it. Now my problem is i can't start it when its cold outside unless i do one of 3 things A) pullstart it, B) plug it in, or C) go out and start it every 3 hrs. I've pulled the codes off it and fixed all the codes. But it still won't start unless i do one of those 3 things. I'm really starting to think it might be the pickup coil or my computer. I've replaced all the sensors, changed the ignition module, new plugs and wires, new rotor and cap, fuel pumps, etc... it still won't start when its cold I even took it in and had the timing checked and it was fine. I do live in a state that gets really cold and its currently 20 degrees above outside and i just tried to start it not plugged in and it wouldn't start had to plug it in and let it sit, it started right up. Has anyone else had this problem?
