86 Bronco II... G-Unit

You have room for TWO bumpers on your bench and you call it a mess? Sometimes I have to move things to put my beer down... :),

There is no room for an empty horizontal space in a workshop.
Same goes for a pool/laundry table.

It's been awhile...

Been moving some things around... arranging parts for a bit of an assault on this old rig this fall. It's a bit nicer to work on when the dog days of summer are past. I spent those days doing a few over due repairs on my 06. It's my daily... and it's in a pretty good place right now. I'm gonna have to put a cat back exhaust on and that is it for this year.

So I'm hoping to knock several mods/repairs off the to do list for the G-Unit. Hopefully I'll have updates soon...

We really need more pics as you progress?

You guys are brutal...

Where do I file my complaint?

So I haven't touched this old truck in a long time. I did put up a carport to keep it under this year. It killed me to see it sit outside under a huge oak tree.

Then came the task of getting it there since I didn't even start it for nearly a year. I freshened up the charge in the battery... jumped in and nothing. No click of the EEC relay... no fuel pump relay. Without going into full details... there were two faults. Poor connection at the EEC relay. I had the key ON and when pulling on the EEC relay connector... both EEC and fuel pump relays clicked. The second was with splice s124. This ground splice goes to two terminals on the ECM and ground for the EEC relay. A wire wrapped around the splice and Goober soldered that made no real connection to the splice... then run to the RH lamps ground bolt... which it should be on the engine. Maybe three issues... there was no ground wire directly to the body from the negative battery post. So I straightened things up... turn key... two clicks and a fuel pump hummmmm.

Still not running like a top but good enough to get it around the block and out my back door in its new home.

Sadly it's gonna sit while I ready the O-Possum for a 8 day adventure.

It looks happy there.
