86/87 speed sensor

I'm putting a cab from an 86 2WD onto an 87 4WD (good engine & trans) and now ,having everything stripped I'm noticing...

The 87 4WD has a wire going to the trans where the speedo cable installs. I'm assuming this is a speed sensor ? The 86 2WD does not have this.

Is this going to cause problems, or is there a pre-existing wire in the 86 harness that I should be looking for ? Really don't wanna change the entire wiring harness if I don't have to.

if you have either cruise control or an electric shift t-case you need that wire, otherwise.... not really
