86 4x4 frame off resto-cab swap

i know but id like to be able to fab my own crossmember just cause. and i think im gonna keep the engine in her.

going to remove the torque converter tonight and replace the flywheel with the 5spd one, gotta buy a slave cylinder and flywheel for the 5spd

pulled the torque converter and flywheel tonight and installed the flywheel for the 5spd and the clutch. im new to this transmission shit so im hoping im getting it right, i replaced the flywheel, am ordering my slave tomorrow bright & early, and then im gonna put in the trans and then drop the new cab on. im so excited i cant wait

Bout time you started getting to the putting it back together part!

haha thanks bud.. i think while im waiting for my slave to get in im gonna get the 2wd cab ready to come off, i already unhooked the steering but thats it.

got one side of hte body mounts off on the 2wd today, also unhooked the wiring harness and marked it all with tape (tfi module, emissions, alt., etc) so ill get the rest of the body mounts off tomorrow, then empty out the bed and bring all the junk to the dump with my dads truck and take off the pan, an then when my slave gets in ill install the trans on the 4x4 and then get my buddy to come over with his backhoe to lift the cab off the 2wd and on to the 4x4.

would you sell the driverside mirror on the 4wd? or both of em?

today i got the seat out of the 2wd, rest of the body mounts unhooked, clutch line unhooked, rad hoses unhooked. so now she should be ready to lift off

nevermind on the mirror, that price is a little much, i dont have that much extra money

that was a price for both. you can have one for 10 bucks.

today i painted the frame and leafs with rockerguard, spent alot of time on my b2.. put a starter on her an tried to get her going, i was hookin up fuel lines but it got dark so i said **** it. also spent some time workin on my buddys ranger puttin her back together. i also took the sending unit out of my ranger and found very sticky tar shit on the bottom so thats why she wouldnt work.

the best part of all!
i found a set of 33x12.5s, almost new, for $100. i forget the brand but they are good aggressive terrain

Your a working little mug Ill give you that!

lol thanks, im trying to do all this at the same time me and my dad are moving stuff to our new house so all my trucks gotta be out of the garden quick. me an my buddy are getting a car trailer today so were gonna bring my ol mazda back up to my pops, bring my scrapped cab and pan to the dump, bring my buddys pan from his ranger(in my garden) to the dump so he can build a cage, and so much other stuff. whatever has to go to the dump will be going today. and i might of found a way to keep my b2 and my 79, but one of them will have to be half hour away which wont be convinent but its a wicked spot up there.
today i shuold be picking up those 33s too. i forget the name but they look alot like these
