its gonna be a DD so it will just have that body lift and the TuffCountry 2" drop brackets and coils
you have a 2'' drop bracket lift? I looked at the tough country site and all they have is like 3-4'' lifts

i looked on their site too but couldnt find them, but theres a site that another member here showed me ill send it to you when i get on my other comp

:cool::shok::icon_cheers:

i am jus praying now that when i get the other cab on she will work. i have my doubts that she will run but im gonna take my time with everything and just hope to god that she works when i get the other cab on. my buddy is gonna come over with his backhoe when im ready to take off the 2wd cab and place it on the 4x4 frame so that will be a big help

Damn thats a lot of rust. Looks like you need to take a load to the scrap yard after that lol. Liking the progress, keep it up!

thanks bud. encouragement is needed before anything can be done lol. and dads gonna make a few runs to the dump with me to get rid of all the junk like fenders, bench seat, core support, all the shit in the pan of the 2wd

awesome work man!! ur gettin progress really fast
looks like a nice proyect.
hope u get to finish this one

your crossmember wont be strong if its flat bar, it needs to have a bend in it like the original or use some tubing

when ya think of it that makes good sense, i got lots of angle iron kicking around i might use that.

got lots of progress done today. went to town and picked up a T55 and ripped the bed off, started wirewheeling the chassis. got one side done, gonna do the other side later this evening. when i came in for dinner i thuoght it was close to 6:00pm but it was only 1:45.. lucky me, more time to work on the ranger lol

you can see how much shit was stuck on the rad arms, about half an inch of it was on there but i love wirewheeling the frame with the grinder its fun lol. i think im gonna drop the gas tank and put in the other one but im gonna take out the sending unit first to see what its like inside there. it might not be that bad since it supposed to be a new one.. then again the a4ld was supposed to be rebuild too but it wont shift past Drive and wont hold herself in park, better excuse for the 5spd i say. i might work on taking out the trans today too.

thanks guys. i got all the sanding done now and almost got the trans/tcase out, jus got one more bolt left on the crossmember in its comin out, i pulled my 5spd out of the back of the garage an got the clutch and flywheel out an im hopefully gonna have it bolted in tonight

just remembered somethin, im gonna need a starter for the manual and a slave cylinder. anyone know what else ill need?

cool dude, and good luck, i have a 1986 b2 that im parting out if you need anything

hey jeff, take your time and get that chasis CLEAN, the cleaner it is the longer this thing will last and use a good rust inhibiting primer and paint, I have a new set of front spring hangers, there yours if you need them

your 2wd frame will have the crossmember you need and are you swaping engines to or keeping the engine in the 4x4
