85 turbo swap wiring????

i pulled the motor,trans and wiring out of a 87 turbo coupe my ??? is how much wiring do i need and what can i cut out,because the dam thing has 10 miles of wiring also any pointers and advice will help out

Get the Autozone wiring diagram for the 85 tbird, and start identifying the wires that are not related, use good sense, and start trimming them out... being aware that grounds are good to have... or you could get a harness from a later model efi ranger, and use the connectors to modify the ranger harness...
