85 Ranger V6 Restoration [Aces EFI time]

Working on cylinder 3 now.

Last cylinder for valve stems, went well. I didnt have the tool i needed to move airbox out the way so cylinder 3 still has old seal on one of the valves. Others are complete. Should be a major improvement, the OG seals were brittle and broken.
Cork valve cover gasket as well.

Ordered blocking plate for EGR

Does anyone happen to know what blocking plate fits the mechanical fuel pump? I want to remove it since it wont/ not being used.

I left my mechanical pump in place. I plan on bypassing it. It's a royal pain to access the bolts on the 2.8L.

Yeah i can tell, just tryna clean up engine bay. The swivel socket helps alot getting to bolts on weird angles.

Old aftermarket line i ripped out. AN lines will be done and efi
Since this vehicle is smog exempt in my county, im looking at ridding all the unnecessary stuff.
Is it worth getting the offenhauser 4bbl intake manifold, and early pre smog heads and exhaust manifold? The EFI will be 2bbl so ill use a adapter with it, i dont think i need a 4bbl.

what about the exhaust manifolds from a aerostar or older mustang? i removed the smog pump and i know i can cap off the ports that it runs to, but i saw that there was early style heads and exhaust manifold without all the smog crap

I never went down that road. Few and far between to find though.

Got my submersible fuel line to extend sending unit pickup. And the quick connects. Waiting on the new sending unit. Once that comes ill order the inline fuel kit. Everything is coming along nicely, should be running and driving soon
