85 Ranger springs...

My '85 Ranger 4x4 needs new leaf springs. I plan on going to a junkyard to get replacements and was wondering if any other vehicles will interchange with the OE Ranger springs?

I know the JY, that I'm going to, has a ton of Explorers but I haven't seen many Rangers.

explorer springs will fit in your ranger. the only thing you need to do it flip the alignment pin in the middle. they will lift your ranger 1-2" as well.

Thanks. It needs about 2" - 3" of lift in the rear, as it sits now. Any certain year model Explorer or just any of them?

Also get some Auto Zone drop shackles and those will give you about 2" too.

Next stupid question... Will the shocks for my '01 Ranger 4x4 fit the '85 Ranger 4x4? I have an extra set, in my workshop, for the '01. If they'll fit, that'll solve one rattle.

O'Reilly's is showing the same part number for them...
