Anyway, various wheels have been turning on various side quests of late.
The dizzy exhaust situation with my front driveshaft, needs something complicated and I might have found something that will work.
Basically rob the kinky drivers side pipe from a 90's V8 Dakota/Durango.
And then project #2... the winch I am starting to catch heat for over storing in the dining room.
I whipped up a prototype on my 2D rapid prototype machine and have been doing a little poking around for getting it mounted behind the bumper.
Considering I can trim the bumper if needed and if I just bolt the winch plate on the bottom of the frame... I could shim it down a little if needed (I kind of like incorporating angle iron wrapped around the frame to reinforce the it anyway).... I think it might work
I need to pull the grille guard/bumper off and play with it with the plate and the winch to know for sure. The lever for the winch is a concern too, I was hoping it went ahead but it looks like it goes back.
I was hoping to go with the accessory style winch mount but I have qualms with my bumper relocation brackets holding up. So maybe go stealth mount and wait for a much more common factory grille guard to pass by? Also keeping it closer to the axle to to help the CG would be nice too.
