So ive owned my ranger for about a half of a year since ive bought it these are the things ive had to do to it and the list is growing!!!!!

1Droped the gas tank and replaced due to rust in the tank and fuel lines
2have had left clyinder head replaced due to cracked head and te right re- conditioned
3messed with the idle a little nothing major

and as it seams everything was going great its overheating. from start up it took about 15 to 20 for the gauge to read out of the norm bracket and venture to te very top of te gauge. ive tried flushing the radiator thus far te only changes that i am seeing is my coolant is a brown/orange color kinduh rusty looking and it doest eat up as quick but it is still climbing to te very top like befour ANY advise would be great thanks-- Rob:icon_confused:

coolant rusty AFTER the flush? Keep flushing!

if in doubt get a manual temp guage. The electric ones are prone to fail and dont tell a number on temp but more or less just display whatever. I have seen these guages go to the top due to being bad and the engine was only 195. Does it seem like the engine is over heating? Could also be a bad thermostat too, not wanting to open up.

As mentioned, the gauge may not be accurate and the sender may be off - If it isn't boiling over, try a new sender. If you know someone with a non-contact thermometer (a laser sensor type device) read the heat of the hoses.
And also the shroud is needed in hot weather at idle.

Mine doesnt run a shroud, it just has the plastic thing that says WARNING FAN on it but pulls air through the radiator nicely. But I am running a 2.5 core radiator too (Rnager A/c one) but have still had mine up to 210 in traffic but have not had any problems with it.

Yes its a very dence rust color when i flush but i have flushed it more times then i can count and it keeps comeing out that color is there any brand of flush you recomend ?

Sounds like your rad. may be plugged up.
