85 ranger 2.0

today went to smog the ranger it passed idle but failed high rpm

HC's were high max is 180 I was at 113 passing but still high

the CO is were I failed at max is 1.20 I was at 1.91 they told me either vacuum leaks or bad carburetor

yay got it to pass smog

there was 2 things I did that changed it took the carb off sprayed around 1/3 of a can of carb/choke cleaner let it sit for bit then flipped the carb over put it back on the truck put a little more in the carb

then I put my msd 6al and msd blaster 2 coil in

the HC's went from the 113 to 20

an the CO went from 1.91 to .03

was really surprised how much that cleaned up
