85 B2 on 36" Military tires

i'd go with a 4" lift (i used spacers, lowered buckets, and drop pivots) i only used 2.5" drop pivots and used camber bushings. but the drops were already on my rig, and the 4" ones are cheaper for some reason. then make some ext ra's and do a 2-3" body lift and u should be good

looks like stock with just trimmed fenders, not really even cut like andres's rig

would be fawkn sweet with about 6" of lift

guy on pirate(sbc or somen like that) is doing 43's with no lift

Believe that guy is D'Cheat on here.

I hate to criticize people, but he's trying to keep COG as low as possible. I'm not sure a body lift is keeping cog down... Correct me if I'm wrong?? :dunno:

Compared to a suspension lift it keeps the CG a lower,

You are just raising the tinfoil body compared to everything from the frame up. The frame and powertrain is where most of the trucks weight is at.

I'm like 5 steps ahead of you:thefinger: I already posted the link.

I seen this thread, I backed out when I spotted SAS, I hadn't quite planned on that yet. I think he's doing more body work than I ever wanted to think about :icon_rofl: I'm still reading his on pirate, looks like the rear may not be out of my scope for body work if I can reuse the factory wheel tubs, just enhance them.

I meant that as no lift with big ass tires, same thing you're wanting to do, just with smaller tires and without the SAS. It can be done. Best way to keep your COG low is not to run any lift. Just cut crap out of the way until your tires fit.:icon_twisted:

Oh right! Now I understand, I've been slowly working at the cutting process. I'm scared to cut into the tub, its cold outside. Unfortunately this is a major bind area.

btw can u even turn that thing?
Yes, more so on flat ground :icon_rofl: I'm screwed if I stuff opposing tires into fenders. I'm done moving then.

Example:

Stuffed 2 and stuck.

Lowered buckets? I'll have to look into that option, I was suggested to do home made 2" spacers for the front and cutting my swaybars out of the picture.

Somebody asked where in the NW, I'm in the Tri-cities WA area. :icon_bounceblue:

Well this is my bronco 2 with a 4 in lift and 37's

I did a write up in the suspension section. Didn't cost me anything but a grinding disk, I already had the bolts. I lowered them 1.5" and got 2.25" of lift, then I had 2" worth of spacer for about 4.5" total

i run about 5 in lift 3 in body lift with 44 in tires

this is a case for 150 coils or straight axle 150 coils with flange seats and 150 arms with relocated radius arm brackets and lowered rear spring hangers to go with some better trimming and bulged fenders.

easy weekend project and likely well under 200 bux.

mod your fenders like mine and that setup will work great.

cut the lower mount and carefully lift the fender and make a new mount hole, that will bulge the fender for clearance and coverage and allow still more trimming

reinforcing the cut with edge rolling will go a long way for strength of the fender. i hope you can make that out in the pic... use some metal forming pliers, or mod some pliers for the job...basic tubbing of the rear can go the same way easily and effectively with minimal metal work....

sorry for the shitty pics, when i do a fresher body i hope i have a camera to help out, but i am sure there has to be some good pics on the subject here somewhere. i wheeled with a few no lift all stock suspension rbv's running 33-35 inch tires, so your in good shape with some basic mods.
