Hey guys just bought a 1984 Bronco II with 2.8L engine and c5 automatic transmission. When i bought the bronco a month ago it had no problem starting right up. I recently put in a new C5 transmission out of a 1983 ford ranger as well as a new starter and battery. Once we finished installing the tranny went to start the bronco and it isnt even trying to start. i know its something electrical just wanted to hear some opinions. Cheers!

Did you try jumping the start solenoid with the key on. Does it crank with the key it could be the park neutral switch try messing with the shifter with the key on start check the connections are good and the shift handle and tranny are in sync.

Re-check the cables and don't overlook grounding.
The new starter suggests it's something electrical.
