So I have an 84 ranger 2.8 V6 that has problems with distributor cabs and rotors and just seems kind of weak electrically, then it quit running. Ran rough on the way home from the dump and then wouldn’t start. So it’s set for a few months over the winter, but today I finally found it. It’s Under the kick box on the passenger side, a green wire had come out of what I found that looks like an archaic relay? Anyways, it looked like a first gin relay and the wire come out of it re-plugged it in after crimping a tip on it, hit it with electric parts cleaner, and it fired up like a Reliable champion that it is. It warms up quicker. It sounds better. The fuel smells like it’s burning more and I’m gonna air up the tire and go 4x4 off roading right MEOW U HERE!! RIGHT MEOW!!!!
