90 Ford Ranger XLT 2.9 Crank no start

Anyone have ideas to share?

I had a problem with a computer on the underside of my steering column, it wouldn’t start unless pushed upwards, It got knocked out of place somehow. I wish I could tell you more but I’ve had trouble finding what it is myself.
