Has anyone tried the 2bbl kit from LMS truck parts. The 2.0 intake is different than the 2.3 so the Pinto carb/intake wont fit...

do you have a link for this? and do you mean LMC truck?

LMC carb kit

Hey your right it is LMC, the weber carb conversion kit is on page 43. Just like to know if it will help the power before I spend the money... Also looked at the propane conversion kit from Got Propane.com, from what I read it lacks in the power dept also. Any input would be welcome. I keep hearing (You could have had a V8) every time I open my wallet!!!

My 2.0 had a 2bbl originally, and I actually tried a one bbl that worked good except for the idle...replacing the carb with a 2 bbl will give you a bit more hp likely...but I'd be concerned about he bottom and top ends if they haven't been rebuilt...you may be putting a bit more stress on the engine that could lead to a rebuild

Thanks Mark, The engine is fresh so that should'nt be a problem. What year was the 2bbl intake off of? I have a 84 and 86 spare engine, they both have 1bbl carbs. One thing I noticed was that when the carb nuts vibrated loose the thing ran better until it got loose enough that it would'nt idle!!

bad news... maybe. i just looked at the weber carb you are talking about, isnt the applications for 2.3, 2.8 and 2.9's... not the 2.0. i may be wrong, but there may be a reason they didnt list an application for the 2.0.

besides that... YIKES! $599.00-$699.00!

i have propane on my 5.0 in the BII and LOVE IT!
