Hey need some help with my 2.2 diesel
around four years ago I was driving my truck and thought water pump started leaking ,so I put water in it every 4-5 miles trying to get back home, didn't make it ! it over heated, The problem was the waterpump nuts became loose and that's where coolant went, to make a long story short it cracked the head, so its sit inside for the last four years while I looked for a head, finally found a good head and I installed it this week, head came off a Mazda and I used the injectors that is in Mazda head, I started the Mazda and let it run and it ran fine ,so I removed the head and installed it on my engine, When it starts its like its not getting enough fuel, however I changed fuel filter bleed line at injectors, checked to make sure fuel is getting to injection pump, it will idle but when it accelerates it stalls like its running out of fuel, I pulled the return line off while it was running and very little fuel comes out while its idling just wondering if anyone could give me any ideas, I'm a retired 18 wheeler diesel mechanic just never had any experience with these engines
Thanks
