83 ranger 2.3 mpg

looks like i'm going to buy a 83 ranger 2.3 3 spd auto trans thursday what gas mileage can i expect rural town most speed limits around are 55 mph and in the ozarks of arkansas am i close to 25 hwy 18 in town ? what ever it is going to be better than my 87 f150 4x4 c6 trans. 4.9 engine. but it was great in the ice storm a few months back. i could drive to all the stores problem was the stores were all closed and no electric 10 days.

When I read the subject, I thought this was going to about a ranger that was getting only 2.3 mpg

Seriously. If the truck is in perfect condition, it should get 18 city and 28 highway according to the page on fuel economy over in the tech library: http://www.therangerstation.com/Magazine/summer2008/fuel_mileage.htm

hahaha thanks i did a search but did not help much i know this has been hashed over many times just could not find any doh did not know there was a mileage thing in the library thanks will look now thanks
