8.8 traclok for what it,s worth

Hello I went through a bad time when I removed the traclok and installed a open carrier and a lockright,I had one on my 1989 ranger and it worked very smooth, u had to put one of the wheels in a ditch with low traction to tell if it still worked. Then came the time to take the axles out for a wheel seal, I looked at all the forums to try to get that C clip out, it would not come out. For me my time is worth something and after days of trying to get the C clip out I took a angle grinder and cut off wheels and cut the carrier into pieces and then it came out. OK extreme yes, price of open carrier 110, wasent worth the heart ache. with that being said I put the traclok back in with what they call performance rebuild on this sight, broke the S spring trying to put it in so no S spring in this set up, and regular gear oil, man does this work nice, as I said for what is worth PKH So lockright never again !!!
 
That vehicle shouldn't be on the highway with other motorists without having the proper parts installed..

That Trac Lok won't work well for very long either.

You were doing something wrong if the c-clip wouldn't come out.
 
I dont fully understand what this post is about other than you should not be working on differentials...
