8.8 swap: where to get spring clamping plates?

whoops.. i got new u-bolts bent at fleetpride.. but i squeezed them into my old spring plates!

meh, its been good for a year of wheelin'...

thats what i did as well. I just used the explorer 8.8 u-bolts and my ranger plates. You only have to squeeze them in 1/8" and i did it by hand. Of you could just drill the ranger plate holes oversized a little.

I just used some 3/8" plate and cut and drilled my own

If you're using a 28-spline 8.8 the 7.5 spring plates work, no squeezing required.
